GONZALO OLIVERO x MAZDA

Mazda’s latest commercial, produced by Mestiza and co-directed by Gonzalo Oliveró and Santiago Vera, set out to recreate a Japanese world across different eras in Mexico.

The story follows Mazda’s founder through key moments in his life, exploring the influence of his upbringing, decisions, father and the passage of time.

Oliveró and Vera aligned every department around a cohesive, emotional narrative, with production design, casting, wardrobe, cinematography and visual effects giving each era its own identity while maintaining continuity throughout the story.
